The motorboat Carib was built from 1967 to 1975 and is the only model range on record for this brand. How high the premium turns out depends, with a motorboat, above all on the installed power, and in addition on type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
A boat from the sixties or seventies is therefore neither automatically expensive nor automatically cheap to insure. What is decisive are the factors mentioned and not the name of the yard. We insure independently of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Because production was long ago, a current market value is of little help in the event of a claim. Instead we agree an agreed value, in the Premium tariff with no age limit, and pay compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). The switching service cancels an existing previous contract free of charge.

Does a more powerful engine increase the premium?
Engine power is one of the factors, alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. With sailing boats the sail area takes its place. The premium is never based on the brand.
What happens to my previous contract?
We cancel the previous contract for you free of charge through the switching service. You do not have to keep track of any deadlines yourself, and no additional costs arise.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
