Worth knowing
Catadella; cover, cost and conditions
The Pacific 550 is the only recorded model range from Catadella, built from 1970 to 1981. Production was a long time ago, and today the portfolio contains used units only. Whether such a motorboat is used on inland waters or along the coast is one of the details needed for the premium, because the cruising range counts alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power.
A boat from the 1970s is therefore no harder to place. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Full hull cover is based on an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit.
Anyone using the Pacific 550 on inland waters needs different details from someone travelling between coastal ports. For trips abroad we issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. In both cases third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does the premium change when the cruising range changes?
The cruising range is one of the factors in calculating the premium, alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power. You should therefore tell us about any change.
Where do I get proof of cover for abroad?
You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. It is enclosed with the contract and does not have to be requested separately.

Series by Catadella, build years and cover
Pacific 550 is a motorboat from Catadella, built from 1970 to 1981.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
