D-Boats is a young Polish company. Its boats are designed and finished in Radzymin, a small town north-east of Warsaw, while the glassfibre hull is moulded by an outside supplier. The co-founder and chief executive is Szymon Zielinski. The prototype of the Diamond 550 made its public debut at boot Düsseldorf in 2017. The idea was a classically styled sports boat with a cabin, sized and equipped so that it is easy to tow and run. The Diamond 550 is easy to recognise by its smooth, unbroken foredeck made for sunbathing, a small forward cabin and an open cockpit with seats for five.
