Worth knowing
Danish Yacht; cover, cost and conditions
Four sailing ranges are recorded: the Venus 31 as a yacht as well as the Euro 25, Solus 24 and Mascot 20 as smaller sailing boats. The construction periods run from 1971 to 1991. NAMMERT accepts boats from that period into the insurance without regard to year of construction, place of purchase and previous owner.
The further back the construction period lies, the more a sound valuation matters. In full hull cover NAMMERT agrees an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old); in the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit. The amount of the indemnity is thus fixed before the claim even occurs.
Smaller sailing boats often sit on the trailer and are put into the water at the slipway. The trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, and the cover applies during launching, during craning, on the transport route and in winter storage. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards.

That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,
and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
For the Venus 31 by Danish Yacht series:
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For the Euro 25, Solus 24, Mascot 20 by Danish Yacht series:
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
