Emka; cover, cost and conditions
At the start of every contract stands third-party liability: with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros it is the basis, selectable in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. This also applies to the sailing yachts from Emka, which were built between 1968 and 2001, from the HT 28 to the Emka 43; only on this basis are limited hull cover and full hull cover added.
Nine model ranges are documented, almost all of them as sailing yachts, plus the sailing boat Emka 22. The build periods end in 2001 at the latest, and the yachts change owner on the used market today. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and full hull cover works with an agreed value and indemnity with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A 29 HT is already sailing in our own portfolio. For the premium of an Emka, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range count, not the brand name; every yacht is rated individually. Anyone switching provider need not worry about the old contract: we cancel it free of charge.

What role does the sail area play in the premium for an Emka 32?
For Emka: With sailing boats, the sail area is one of the factors from which the premium results,
alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
The brand itself does not feed into it.
Is third-party liability alone enough for an older Emka HT 28?
For Emka: Third-party liability with 10 to 50 million euros is the basis.
Anyone who also wants to protect their own boat adds limited hull cover or full hull cover;
in the Premium tariff, full hull cover applies with no age limit.

a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For the Emka 22 by Emka series: On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
