Worth knowing
Enata Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Two ranges are on record: the Foiler as a motorboat and the GTCat 66 as a cabin catamaran, both since 2017 and still in the programme today. A monohull and a catamaran are classified differently, and in both cases the cruising range plays a part in the premium.
Whether you are out on inland waters or on the coast feeds into the classification, as do type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power. The brand name does not count here. If the cruising area changes permanently, the contract is adjusted so that the cover matches the actual cruising range.
For journeys across the border we issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does the cruising area make a difference to the premium?
Yes. The cruising range is one of the factors, together with type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power. An inland water is classified differently from the coast.
Is a cabin catamaran treated like a monohull?
The type of boat feeds into the classification, which is why a catamaran is considered separately. The scope of cover and the tariff levels are the same as for other boats.

Series by Enata Marine, build years and cover
Foiler is a motorboat from Enata Marine, built since 2017.
GTCat 66 is a cabin catamaran from Enata Marine, built since 2017.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
