Eurovinil is an Italian house at Grosseto in Tuscany, founded in 1958. It became known not for leisure boats but for self inflating liferafts whose seams are welded by high frequency, and out of that grew its range of tenders and inflatables for navies, leisure use and public authorities. You recognise the boats by the plain construction without a moulded console, the short tapered tube ends and the straight transom; the smaller models are pure tenders that fold away for stowage.

Our model records list 45 Eurovinil models, all of them soft inflatables. Recorded build years run from 1985 to 2010, so production of these models is closed. Forty five series are recorded: the Atlantis range with the PK models 245, 265, 285, 330 S and 370 S and the RH models 250, 270 and 300; the Europa range with 200, 240 and RH 220; the Flat 200 and 240; and the older Artik 38 and 42 and the Laser 29. Lengths run from 2 to 4.9 metres, half the models between 2.6 and 4 metres. The number gives the length in centimetres.

A house that began with liferafts brings one habit to its tenders: the seam is the part that matters. High frequency welding makes a joint without stitching or glue, which is what a raft needs after years folded in a canister, and it is also what a tender needs after years folded in a locker. On boats this small the outboard is usually worth more than the boat carrying it.
