Evo Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Evo Yachts is an Italian yard from Naples. The brand started in 2014, and the whole range is the work of naval engineer Valerio Rivellini. Evo boats stand out for their sharp, modern lines and short names made of a letter and a number. The letter marks the line: R for day boats and weekenders, T for the tenders introduced with the T2 in June 2019, and V for the yard's largest project, the V8. The number grows with the size.
Our model records list seven Evo designs, five motorboats and two motor yachts, all starting with build year 2019. The Evo 43 at 13.4 metres is recorded until 2023, while the other six run into the most recent years. The R line has the R4 and R4 CC at 12.9 metres each and the R6 at 17.4 metres. The T line has the T2 at 8.1 metres and the T3 at 11.4 metres, and the V8 measures 23.4 metres. Lengths therefore span 8.1 to 23.4 metres.
The T models work as tenders or as fast boats for short hops along the coast, while the R models suit a day in the bays of the Gulf of Naples or a weekend afloat. The V8 is a berth yacht with a crew in mind. Modern helm electronics and large glazed areas need protection from heat and salt, and a winter ashore keeps the drives in good order.

parts are available and repair costs are predictable.
Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
For the Evo 43 by Evo Yachts series the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the R4 CC Evo Yachts, R4 Evo Yachts, T2 Evo Yachts by Evo Yachts and further series:
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the R6 Evo Yachts, Evo 43 by Evo Yachts series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
