Worth knowing
Excite Cat; cover, cost and conditions
Three ranges of cabin catamarans are recorded: the Excite Cat 810 Fly from 2002 to 2014, the Excite Cat 810 from 2003 to 2012 and the Excitecat 1010 from 2004 to 2012. Production lies in the past. For each of these boats third-party liability forms the basis of the cover.
You choose the limit of indemnity between 10 and 50 million euros, graded across the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tariff levels. Damage to other boats, to jetties or to persons falls under it. Limited hull cover and full hull cover can be built on top, depending on the scope you want.
Since the last years of construction of the three ranges are 2012 and 2014, today it is a matter of used boats. Full hull cover works with an agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Cover also applies during winter storage, when craning, launching and in transit.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Which limits of indemnity are available in third-party liability?
Between 10 and 50 million euros, graded according to the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tariffs. Third-party liability is the basis, limited hull cover and full hull cover can be added.
Does the hull cover also apply at night?
Yes. In the hull cover there is no time window and no night clause. Damage at night is therefore covered just as damage during the day is, including in winter storage.

Series by Excite Cat, build years and cover
Excite Cat 810 Fly is a cabin catamaran from Excite Cat, built from 2002 to 2014.
Excite Cat 810 is a cabin catamaran from Excite Cat, built from 2003 to 2012.
Excitecat 1010 is a cabin catamaran from Excite Cat, built from 2004 to 2012.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
