The EzyBoat comes from England and rests on one simple idea: the boat is its own road trailer. Its glassfibre hull measures about 4.4 metres and folds across the middle to roughly 2.5 metres for the drive home. The wheels of the patented, road-legal trailer are built into the hull and retract with a pull on a handle once the boat is afloat. The design was shown to the public at the Birmingham boat show in 2009. A hinged transom lets the outboard swing inside for storage, and the fold line across the hull makes the boat easy to recognise. It is meant as a small all-rounder for fishing, pottering about under power or, with the optional rig, learning to sail.
