Two naming systems help place a boat. Three digit numbers give roughly the length in centimetres, so the Artaban 595 is 5.95 metres and the Ocre 650 is 6.5 metres. Models with an F in front, such as the F21, F23, F27 and F33, carry a two digit number, and the 10.3 metre F33 is the longest boat in the range.

These are day boats for warm coasts: a morning of fishing, a swim in a cove, back before the afternoon breeze builds. Boats up to about 7.8 metres are easy to tow and launch, which opens up new stretches of coast every weekend. Salt and sun are the main strain, so a freshwater rinse, a cockpit canvas and a regular look at the steering and engine cooling keep them in good shape. The two motor yachts are berth boats for longer coastal hops.
