Fiord-Boat builds inflatable boats in Ukraine. The range is ordered by use: roll up tenders for a yacht, boats for fishing and hunting, rigid inflatables, and inflatable canoes and watersports craft. The weight sits clearly with boats without a rigid hull. You recognise them by the simple construction with fitted thwarts and rowlocks, the tapered tube ends and the roll up floor that folds away with the tube; a boat of this kind fits in a cockpit locker or a car boot.

A roll up floor is the compromise that defines this kind of boat. It folds away with the tube, which is the whole point of a tender, but it takes less point load than a slatted or rigid floor, so what you gain in stowage you give up in stiffness under way. On boats this small the outboard is also usually worth more than the boat carrying it.
