Gecat Marine builds power catamarans in South Africa. According to a report by Boating South Africa, the company began in 2000 in a small way at St Francis Bay on the Eastern Cape coast. Its catamarans span 21 to 42 feet and work as fishing boats, supply runners, charter boats and whale watching platforms. The number after Gecat gives the length in feet, so the 21.6' is just under six and a half metres long and the 42' measures 12.7 metres.
Our model records list six Gecat models, all power catamarans and all recorded from build year 2019 up to the latest build years: the 21.6' at 6.48 metres, the 23' at 6.9, the 25' at 7.6, the 28' at 8.5, the 35' at 10.7 and the 42' Custom Gullwing at 12.7 metres.
