Worth knowing

Kingcat; cover, cost and conditions

The cabin catamaran Kingcat M 270 is the only recorded entry, built between 1996 and 2001. No further information about the shipyard itself is available. The boat can nevertheless be insured, because NAMMERT looks at the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range and not at the name.

A catamaran takes up more space in winter storage and is handled differently during craning than a monohull. The cover from NAMMERT also applies in winter storage, during craning, launching and in transit, so that the movements ashore do not fall into a gap.

There limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover is added with the agreed value, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and pays with no deduction for depreciation.

Series by Kingcat, build years and cover

Kingcat M 270

Kingcat M 270 is a cabin catamaran from Kingcat, built from 1996 to 2001.

What this means for the cover

For the Kingcat M 270 by Kingcat series the market value and the replacement cost often differ

widely.

An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.

For the Kingcat M 270 by Kingcat series:

On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part,

and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
