The Terhi brand goes back to the mid-1950s and is known for small rowing boats and motorboats, with a few sailing boats alongside. Its story is tied to Korpivaara: in 1984 the Amer group took over Korpivaara, in 1992 Terhi became independent as Terhi Oy, and since 2010 the company has been called TerhiTec, based in Naantali on Finland's south-west coast. The decisive technical step came in 1972, when production moved from glassfibre to ABS plastic. Two ABS sheets are shaped into hull parts and the space between them is filled with water-resistant polyurethane foam, so a Terhi of this era has a double plastic skin around a foam core rather than a single laminate.

Under sail there are the Terhisail 530, the Terhisail 620, at 6.3 metres the longest boat on the list, and the Finncamp 600 MS. The Terhi 400 BS and Terhi 480 ran longest, both until 1983. None reaches the most recent build years, and three stay under four metres.

These boats are now more than forty years old, and most change hands between private owners. Plastic that has seen decades of sun can turn brittle, so look for cracks around the transom, where the outboard bracket clamps on, and along the gunwale. Where the outer skin is damaged, water may have reached the foam core, which shows as soft spots or extra weight. Fittings on these small hulls are often original, and a new rubbing strake or fresh cleats are simple jobs. The outboard deserves its own check, as on a small boat it is a large share of the value. A light road trailer makes these boats easy to move between lakes.
