Worth knowing
Labbé; cover, cost and conditions
The only model range on record is the cabin catamaran Cité d'Alet, built from 1984 to 1991. Production lies in the past; a boat like this changes owner today on the used market. It is insured regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
With a used purchase the question is what amount is available in the event of a total loss. The full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation. The agreed value is therefore fixed when the policy is taken out and not only after an estimate in the event of a claim.
In addition the legal expenses cover for water sports is offered, which applies in a dispute after the purchase of a used boat or with a yard. The third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis of the contract, in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What counts when buying a used catamaran?
The agreed value. Through the agreed value it is fixed when the policy is taken out; the full hull cover pays with no deduction for depreciation and in the Premium tariff without any age limit.
Can a boat from the 1980s still have full hull cover?
Yes. In the Premium tariff the full hull cover applies without any age limit. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.

Series by Labbé, build years and cover
Cité d'Alet is a cabin catamaran from Labbé, built from 1984 to 1991.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
