Lavey Craft comes from Corona, California, and is a name for fast sports boats. Al Lavey founded the yard in 1952, building performance boats with inboard engines. In 1991 the brothers Chris and Jeff Camine took the company over and carried it on. According to the US Coast Guard register, the business closed in November 2022, so no new boats have been built since. The boats are recognised by their deep vee hulls, long and narrow profile and powerful installations typical of American performance craft. Construction was not limited to plain glassfibre; carbon and Kevlar laminates were used as well.
