Lowe builds small aluminium boats in Lebanon, Missouri, and belongs to the Brunswick group. The range covers jon boats, fishing and utility boats and pontoons, mostly in riveted aluminium. What marks them is the flat or lightly veed bottom, which needs very little draught and lets the boat be reached from a bank without a pontoon. Model names either give a number for the length, such as the A 1457, or combine a line code with a number, such as the FM 165.

Our model records hold 126 Lowe models, all listed as motorboats, from the 2007 to 2015 model years. Lengths run from 2 to 7.5 metres, with most models between 3.7 and 4.9 metres. Sixty series are recorded in three lines: A with the A 1257, A 1457, A 1467 and A 1667, each also in a WT version, F with the F 165, and FM with the FM 165 Classic, FM 165 Pro SC, FM 165 Pro WT, FM 175 and FM 175 DC. Small aluminium boats are light and cheap to move, and their working life follows from that. They live on a trailer, are launched at public ramps and often spend the winter in the open, so a good deal of what happens to them happens ashore and on the road rather than on the water.
