Worth knowing
M and M; cover, cost and conditions
Only one model range is on file for the programme, the Nimble 36, a cabin catamaran with a production period from 1994 to 2000. No further ranges are recorded, and we do not add anything that is not documented. In any case, it is the individual vessel with its own data that is insured.
A catamaran spends part of the year ashore. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the road. There, limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage.
On the water, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and compensates according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is damage during lifting out by crane covered?
Craning, launching, the road and winter storage are part of the cover. You need neither a separate policy nor an additional agreement with us for this.
How can a catamaran from the nineties be classified?
Through the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range. The year of construction excludes nothing; we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.

Series by M and M, build years and cover
Nimble 36 is a cabin catamaran from M and M, built from 1994 to 2000.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
