These boats are sold as MS Boat and built in aluminium. M.S. Styl is registered in Kraków, Poland, as a builder of sport and leisure boats, and MS Boat describes its range as workboats, landing craft and catamarans; the C 690 uses five millimetre plate. The boats carry the MS prefix, a series letter and a three-digit number close to the length in centimetres: an MS C 800 WT measures eight metres.
Our model records list 30 MS Boat models: 24 powerboats, three power catamarans and three ST 12 units classed as motor yachts. Build years start in 2013 with the C 690, and 29 of the 30 models are still in production. Lengths range from 5.0 to 12.5 metres, with half between 6.1 and 8.4 metres. The smallest are the Sea 500, MC 550 and S 500 WT at around five metres, while the C series runs from the C 690 to the C 950 WT at 9.9 metres. The CWA models sit between 6.9 and 8.4 metres, the catamarans between 7.4 and 9.5, and the ST 12 at 12 to 12.5 metres.
These aluminium boats are built for hard use: fishing in all weathers, running crews and gear to a site, nosing onto a beach. The metal shrugs off knocks that would crack fibreglass, but dents, weld repairs and corrosion around fittings show how a boat has been used. Value depends mainly on the outboard and its hours, the work or fishing equipment and the electronics, and a catamaran like the Cat 950 WT carries more of all three.
