Marell Boats AB builds its boats and runs its head office in Östhammar, about 130 kilometres north of Stockholm. The yard was founded by Patrik Söderholm. Marell makes fast aluminium hulled boats that also serve professional crews: the Norwegian Police ordered M12 patrol boats, and the M15 platform works for police and fire services around Stockholm. The boats look purposeful, with a high bow, crisp lines and an aluminium structure meant for rough archipelago and open water work.

Older types carry a three digit number and a suffix (700 SC, 850 WA, 900 CC, 900 WA), newer ones are simply the Marell 9, 12 and 15. With big engines aboard, fuel planning and a careful look at steering and drives before each season pay off. The smaller models trail well, while the Marell 12 and 15 are happiest in a deep water berth close to open water.
