Marinco Boats is based in Thessaloniki in northern Greece. Trading as Marinco Power Boats, the company builds its own polyester boats and also sells imported models, fits engines and offers service. Its own range is made up of small fishing and leisure boats for the Mediterranean and the sheltered bays of the Aegean. The boats are known by their series names: Fishing Eco, Aquastar, Dream, Open, Fish & Fun and Cabin. Within Fishing Eco, D marks the small boats up to 3.5 metres and V the larger ones from 4 metres, and the number gives the length in decimetres.

Our model records list 29 Marinco models, all small motor boats. Recorded build years begin in 2004 with the Aquastar series, and 19 models continue into current production. Lengths range from 2.5 to 7 metres, half of them between roughly 4.2 and 5.3 metres. Fishing Eco runs from the D 25 at 2.5 metres to the V 47 CC and V 47 FC at 4.7 metres, the Aquastar A 410 to A 515 L measure 4 to 5.2 metres, and the Dream series covers 4.6 to 5.3 metres. The Cabin 195 and 222, at 6 and 7 metres, are the cabin boats of the range.

Boats like these spend summer on a mooring in a small Greek harbour and winter ashore. Their value is carried largely by the outboard on the transom and the state of the hull, deck fittings and upholstery after seasons in strong sun. Being light and short, most of them are easy to tow, which makes them popular for exploring different coasts.

What do D and V mean in the Fishing Eco names?

For Marinco Boats: D marks the small boats from 2.5 to 3.5 metres,

V the larger ones from 4 to 4.7 metres.

The number gives the length in decimetres, so a Fishing Eco V 45 is about 4.5 metres long.
