Worth knowing

Maritime; cover, cost and conditions

A single model range is on record, the Maritime 21 as a motorboat with years of construction from 1977 to 1983. Details about size, segment or method of construction are not available. Nothing more than the production period can be derived from the data, and for the rating in the policy it is sufficient.

Besides the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range, the engine power enters into the premium. Two outwardly identical boats can therefore be rated differently if the engine fitted differs. The name of the yard plays no part in the calculation.

Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. It covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
