With sports boats the installed engine power determines the premium more strongly than length alone. Four model ranges are recorded from Marvel, the Marvel 17, 19, 21 and 23; the Marvel 23 had already been running since 1987, the others from 2003 to 2012. We calculate with the power actually fitted.

Type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are added, while the brand name stays out of it. Anyone fitting a more powerful engine afterwards should report it so that the contract remains consistent. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, and above that we examine each individual case.

Production ended in 2012, so used units are traded today. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of acceptance. In full hull cover an agreed value applies, on the basis of which indemnity is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation.
