Menken Maritiem is a Dutch boatyard best known for the Piet Hein Sloep, an open leisure launch for canals, lakes and rivers. The sloep was drawn by De Jager and built by Menken in GRP, and its S-shaped hull lets it sit calmly in the water. With a draught of around 60 centimetres and an air draft of about 90 centimetres it slips under many inland bridges. Alongside the sloeps the yard offers the compact boats of the CAB family, the Newport Bass models and classically styled motor yachts such as the Reeves, the Riffler and the Dutchess.

The Dutchess is the oldest line, starting in 1999, with the Piet Hein Sloep, The CAB and the Riffler following from 2000. The sloeps and CAB boats under 8 metres are trailer and jetty boats, launched for a weekend on the lakes and brought home again. The motor yachts from 11.5 metres live on a berth and suit longer trips through the Dutch waterway network. Low air draft makes the smaller boats easy partners on canal routes with fixed bridges, while the larger yachts reward a sheltered winter berth and regular attention to their varnish and engines.
