Worth knowing
Moa; cover, cost and conditions
A dispute after a used-boat purchase often ends with the question of who pays for a defect. That is why we also offer legal expenses cover for water sports, including for disputes with a yard. With Moa, whose four ranges were built between 1978 and 1985, every purchase is a used purchase.
Recorded are the Moa 14, 16 and 20 as motorboats as well as the Moa 25 as a motor yacht, all with years of build from 1978 to 1985. The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of build, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand or the age of the production series.
For hull cover we agree an agreed value and pay compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, and cover applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
