Navigator Yachts builds pilothouse motor yachts in Perris, Southern California. The yard was founded in 1988 by Jule Marshall and points to good visibility from pilothouse and saloon and to solid, thick hulls as hallmarks of its boats. Earlier models carry a two digit number with Classic or Rival, roughly the length in feet. Later models use four digit numbers from 4200 to 6800, where the first two digits again stand for feet, so a Navigator 4800 is about 15 metres long. Alongside them run the Californian LRC models, short for Long Range Cruiser.

Our model records list 24 Navigator models, all filed as motor yachts. Build years run from 2002 to 2027, and nine models continue into current production. Lengths range from 12.8 to 21.3 metres, with half between 14.6 and 17.8 metres. The Classic series from the 12.76 metre Navigator 42 to the 17 metre 56 was built from 2002 to 2012, as were the Rival models and the 61 and 63 at just over 19 metres. The four digit models followed from 2007: the 4200 and 4600 ran until 2014 and the 5100 until 2018, while the 4500, 4800, 5200, 5500, 5800, 6200 and the 21.34 metre 6800 are still offered, as are the Californian 48' LRC and 55' LRC.

A Navigator is a liveaboard style cruiser with a raised helm, a large saloon and economical diesels, made for long coastal passages. Value depends on engine hours and service history, generators, the electronics at the helm, and the condition of teak and gelcoat.
