No Limit Ships was set up in Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands, in 1996. The yard builds yachts that deliberately look like workboats, and alongside them professional craft such as survey vessels. The starting idea was a very seaworthy, safe and comfortable ship that could put to sea at any moment. The result was the No Limit 1500, drawn by Evert Stel, with a deep V hull in steel and a superstructure and deck in aluminium. Its most distinctive feature is the ring of air filled tubes along the hull, meant to calm the motion when waves come in from the side. The 1500 became the basis for later types such as the Citation, Blue City and Ecolution, and since 2006 it has also worked commercially.

Twin diesels mean twice the service history to read, so engine hours, oil analysis and records of cooling system work all belong in the file.
