Worth knowing
Onyx Marine; cover, cost and conditions
The Onyx 10.5 cabin catamaran has been built since 2022, and production continues to this day. It is the only model range recorded for this brand. A newly acquired boat can be covered with third-party liability, limited hull cover and full hull cover in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Anyone crossing national borders with a catamaran needs proof. The international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages, and a separate application is not required. You agree the cruising range when taking out the policy, and it feeds into the premium.
With a current boat, the sum insured is the point at which the path is decided. Up to 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we assess the individual case. Full hull cover pays according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

Series by Onyx Marine, build years and cover
Onyx 10.5 is a cabin catamaran from Onyx Marine, built since 2022.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
