Orozco / Shipyard Maritime; cover, cost and conditions
In our records, Orozco / Shipyard Maritime stands for a yard whose programme is made up mostly of motorboats and motor yachts from the 1970s. Four models carry the Orozco name, and the number grows with the boat, from the Orozco 25 up to the Orozco 50. Two boats have names of their own: the small Tintorera Pescador fishing boat and the much later S.M.E. 49 sailing yacht. We found no solid source on the yard's home or history, so this page sticks to what the model data shows.
Six models are listed: two motorboats, three motor yachts and one sailing yacht. The Tintorera Pescador measures 6.3 metres (1970 to 1977) and the Orozco 25 measures 7.5 metres (1970 to 1980). The motor yachts are the 9.3 metre Orozco 32, built from 1969 to 1977 and the earliest model in the list, the 12.7 metre Orozco 42 (1970 to 1980) and the 14.15 metre Orozco 50 (1970 to 1977). The S.M.E. 49 sailing yacht, at 14.95 metres, is recorded from 1996 to 2003. Lengths therefore run from 6.3 to 14.95 metres, and five of the six models date from 1980 or earlier.
An Orozco on the water today is a boat with around half a century behind it. Hull, deck fittings and wiring deserve a careful look at every haul out, and older motor yachts often benefit from a survey before a long season. The Tintorera Pescador and the Orozco 25 are small enough to move by road, while the larger yachts from the Orozco 42 upwards usually stay on a marina berth and are lifted out by crane for the winter.

widely.

no list price left.
That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,

For the S.M.E.
49 by Orozco / Shipyard Maritime series:
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For the Orozco 25, Tintorera Pescador by Orozco / Shipyard Maritime series:
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the Orozco 42, Orozco 32, Orozco 50 by Orozco / Shipyard Maritime series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
