When buying second hand, the realistic replacement value determines the correct sum insured. In full hull cover it is agreed as an agreed value and is indemnified in the event of a total loss with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Anyone taking over a Peereboom sets this value when taking out the policy and therefore knows bindingly what will be replaced if the worst happens.
One Peereboom motor yacht is already sailing in our own portfolio. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and we also accept boats from small series as a matter of course; a complete history of the boat is not a condition for taking out the policy.
The basis of every contract is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. If a dispute arises after buying a used boat, the legal expenses cover for water sports offered alongside applies; in this way boat and purchase are equally protected.
