Pfeil; cover, cost and conditions
All recorded Pfeil model ranges, from the Pfeil 39 to the Pfeil 550, were built between 1983 and 2003; these motor yachts change hands today as used boats. On purchase the question of the replacement value therefore arises. We set it as an agreed value, which in the event of a total loss is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A Pfeil 42 is already insured in our own portfolio. The year of construction is no obstacle to acceptance: we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover has no age limit. The premium follows the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range, not the brand name.
Anyone taking over a used motor yacht can also add legal expenses cover for water sports, which covers disputes following the purchase of a used boat. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the contract can be taken out online, above that we review each case individually.
