Pegazus; cover, cost and conditions
Bought second-hand does not mean insured less well. The Pegazus ranges, from the 300 to the 605, have been running since 2010 and are still being built today, so a correspondingly large number of boats are available second-hand. With the agreed value you secure the replacement value bindingly.
The catalogue lists twelve model ranges, among them the Escapade 600 and the 560 Top Fisher. The premium does not depend on the brand name but on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range. A more powerful engine therefore has a direct effect on the premium.
A Pegazus 450 and a Pegazus 380 are already sailing in our own portfolio. The policy can be taken out online, and on request we cancel the earlier contract free of charge. In this way you switch with a boat taken over second-hand without effort and without any interruption of cover.

Frequent questions
Is a used Pegazus 450 insured at current market value or at an agreed value?
For Pegazus: In full hull cover the agreed value applies:
the value agreed counts in the event of a claim,
and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
That avoids discussions about the current market value.
Is transporting a Pegazus to the water insured?
Yes, for Pegazus too: cover applies while in transit, during launching and during craning.
The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus,
provided it is named in the application with its value.
You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
