With a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, third-party liability stands at the beginning of every policy, graduated into Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The Performance Cat 40 cabin catamaran has been built since 2015 and is still built today and is the only recorded range. For it too the rule is: first third-party liability, then hull insurance.
A cabin catamaran is rated according to type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, not according to the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the online conclusion is possible, above that we examine the individual case. The agreed value is set individually in each case.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus, and you report races with ranking status when taking out the policy. The full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, in the Premium tariff with no age limit for the agreed value.

Frequent questions
How high can the limit of indemnity be chosen?
Between 10 and 50 million euros, depending on the tariff level. Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium differ in this amount and in the scope of benefits of the hull insurance.
Is there a separate tariff for catamarans?
No. A cabin catamaran is rated like other sailing boats according to type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. The brand remains without influence on the premium.

Licence

Series by Respect Yachts, build years and cover
Performance Cat 40 is a cabin catamaran from Respect Yachts, built since 2015.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
