Robert Ives (Boatbuilders) Ltd was a yard at Christchurch on the south coast of England, working in the early years of glassfibre boatbuilding. Ives built designs by outside naval architects rather than its own. Among them were the Four 21 by John Powell, introduced in 1964 and also built by Aquamarine in Lymington, and the Fantasie 19 by Robert Tucker. Both are small cabin boats for coastal and tidal waters, the kind of family cruiser that was common on British coasts at the time, recognisable by a low coachroof and a simple rig.

Neither reaches the recent build years, so even the youngest boats are around half a century old. The Fantasie 19 is a bilge keeler with two side keels and a short central stub, displacing roughly 710 kilograms, with an outboard well and a narrow hull that keeps the cabin snug. The Four 21 is a masthead sloop of about 21 and a half feet; it was introduced in 1964, while our records start it in 1968.
