The Skipper 22 sailing boat is the only model range on record, built from 1976 to 1983. If such a boat stands on a trailer, that trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. During launching, during craning and while in transit the cover also continues unchanged.
No details on size, orientation or further ranges are available, and production ended in 1983. That is enough for the policy, because we insure regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners, and small series and home-built boats are insurable too.
On a sailing boat the sail area takes the place of engine output, together with the type of boat, value, year of build and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards. Full hull cover pays out on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
