Stenga 2 builds small sailing and motor boats, from tender-sized dinghies to a compact cabin yacht. The range is broad for a small brand: Guliwer sailboats sit next to the Alga and Leopard motorboats and the Dewajtis sailing yacht. On the Guliwer models the three digit number roughly gives the length in centimetres, from the 2.85 metre Guliwer 295 to the 7.2 metre Guliwer 720.
Our records list nine Stenga 2 models: four sailboats, two sailing yachts and three motorboats. The Guliwer family accounts for five of them, the 295, 315, 625, 695 and 720, with the 695 classed as a sailing yacht. The other yacht is the 8.23 metre Dewajtis, the longest model on the list. The motorboats are the 3.6 metre Alga Sport, the 4.16 metre Alga and the 6.1 metre Leopard. The Guliwer 720 has the earliest build year, 2011; every other line starts in 2012, and all nine run into the latest build years.
The small Guliwer and Alga boats are at home on lakes and sheltered bays and can be launched from a trailer in minutes. The larger sailboats from six metres up are better kept on a mooring or a marina berth for the season. Sails last longer when they are dried before being bagged, and a tarp over the cockpit keeps leaves and rain out between outings.
