Three Magoo ranges are recorded for Stern-Werft, the Magoo 42, the Magoo 43 and the Magoo 50, built between 1981 and 1989. Anyone buying such a sailing yacht today reports the replacement value to us instead of the purchase price. From this the agreed value arises, which is replaced with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Production ended at the end of the eighties. That changes nothing about insurability, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover knows no age limit. Collision, grounding and vandalism are included there.
After a second-hand purchase, a dispute with the seller can arise. For this we offer the legal expenses cover for water sports alongside. If a policy is already running with another provider, we cancel the previous policy free of charge in the switching service, so that the transition remains without a gap.

What applies if the yacht has had several previous owners?
Nothing different. The year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners are irrelevant to insurability. Third-party liability, limited hull cover and full hull cover are open to yachts from the eighties as well.
