Worth knowing
Vena; cover, cost and conditions
Many boats spend more time ashore than in the water. For this reason limited hull cover expressly includes damage in winter storage, and cover applies equally during craning, launching and transport, with no time window and no night clause. A Vena is therefore insured in storage just as it is on the water.
A Vena 420 is already running in our own portfolio. Even without a large model catalogue the brand can be rated without difficulty: what matters are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range, not the name. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, small series included.
The basis includes third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros; full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). A trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, also on the way to winter storage. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
