Viper; cover, cost and conditions

Fifty model ranges are on record for Viper, many of them under the name Osprey. These include motor boats such as the Osprey 24 Fisherman and the Osprey 30 Long Cabin, inflatable boats without an engine such as the Eagle, and inflatable boats with an engine such as the Falcon 8.2 or the Lynx 26.

From our own portfolio, the 203 and the 243 are insured with us. The premium and the cover are decided by the type of boat, the year of construction, the value, the engine power and the cruising range, not by the name of the make. An inflatable boat without an engine is therefore rated differently from a motor boat of the Long Cabin range.

Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and indemnity is paid according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, and the cover applies during launching, during craning and in winter storage. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
