Voyage Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Voyage Yachts builds catamarans in Cape Town, South Africa. Katamarans.com reports that the yard was founded in 1994 by Tom and Deidre Lubbe together with Ian and Jo Stopforth, and that it builds well equipped cruising catamarans known as sturdy bluewater boats. The Voyage 440 and Voyage 500 were drawn by Alexander Simonis of Simonis Voogd Design. A Voyage is built around long distance cruising, the very thing its reputation rests on: these are boats for ocean passages rather than off the peg charter catamarans. The three digit numbers roughly give the length in feet, so the Voyage 440 measures 13.42 metres.
Our model records hold ten models, all sailing catamarans. The earliest build years are 1997 for the Mayotte 500 and Norseman 430, followed by the Voyage 440 in 1998. The Voyage 45 DC and 580 arrive in 2003, the 440 Plus in 2005, the 480, 520 and 600 in 2012, and finally the Voyage 590 in 2016, the only model recorded into the most recent years. Lengths run from 13.07 metres (Norseman 430) to 18.23 metres (Voyage 600), with four models under 14 metres, three between 15.1 and 15.8 and three from 17.55 to 18.23.
These catamarans are made to cross oceans, and many owners live aboard for years. That means watermakers, solar panels and spare parts on board, and rigging checks before every long passage. A catamaran this wide needs a broad berth or a mooring, and hauling out calls for a yard with a travel lift big enough for the beam.

Voyage 600 by Voyage Yachts and 6 more series the market value and the replacement cost often
differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the Voyage 590, Voyage 45 DC, Voyage 480 by Voyage Yachts and further series:
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part,
and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
