Worth knowing
Winga; cover, cost and conditions
Swedish cruising boats from the seventies, built for skerry waters: the Winga 25 and 27 were produced from 1970 to 1990, the Winga 87 and the Winga 29 from 1975 to 1995. Lengths of 7 to 9 m are stated. A Winga 25 is among the boats we insure.
Anyone sailing in Swedish waters or elsewhere abroad needs proof of cover. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, without a separate application. The agreed cruising range determines how far the cover extends.
For cruising yachts of these years of construction the agreed value in full hull cover is the core of the contract: compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Winter storage, craning and launching are included, club races from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards.

Series by Winga, with value and cover
Winga 25 / 27 is a sailing boat from Winga (Sweden), built from 1970 to 1990,
and today changes hands at between €8,000 and €25,000.
Winga 87 / Winga 29 is a sailing yacht from Winga (Sweden), built from 1975 to 1995,
and today changes hands at between €15,000 and €45,000.
For the Winga 25 / 27 and Winga 87 / Winga 29 by Winga series there is no list price left.
That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,
and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
For the Winga 25 / 27 by Winga series:
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
For the Winga 87 / Winga 29 by Winga series:
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
