Worth knowing
Yapluka Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Two cabin catamarans are recorded: the Yapluka 47 and the Yapluka 60, both with a construction period from 1999 to 2005. Beyond that nothing is on file. With multihull yachts of this kind the question of the limit of indemnity in the third-party liability arises as early as when the policy is taken out.
The third-party liability is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded across Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium, and forms the basis of every policy. The full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
If such a yacht is taken across national borders, we issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners; up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How high is the limit of indemnity in the third-party liability?
It ranges from 10 to 50 million euros and is graded across the tariff levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The third-party liability is the basis in every level.
What applies to a catamaran with the year of construction 2001?
It is classified via type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. The full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation.

Series by Yapluka Yachts, build years and cover
Yapluka 47 is a cabin catamaran from Yapluka Yachts, built from 1999 to 2005.
Yapluka 60 is a cabin catamaran from Yapluka Yachts, built from 1999 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
