Active Thunder Powerboats builds fast sport boats for the go-fast crowd, with Patrick Haughey at the helm. Hulls are made entirely from urethane composites, with no plywood or wooden structure at all, and Mercury Marine has used Active Thunder boats for testing. Power ranges from twin Verado outboards to Mercury Racing engines. The names pair the length in feet with a bold tag: Savage, Defiant, Evolution, Express and Excess. The 29 Defiant is the open bow sister of the 29 Savage.
