Al Dhaen is a boatbuilder from Bahrain, with its sales office in Muharraq and its factory in Al Ma'ameer. It builds fishing boats, pleasure yachts, commercial craft and military patrol boats for the Gulf and for export; our records spell the name both Al Dhaen and Al Dhean. The two-digit number gives the rough length in feet, and the line name the type: Fishing Boat for plain workboats, Traditional Fishing with a stand-up helm, Pro Fish for better equipped angling boats, Open or Cabin for leisure.
Our model records list 30 Al Dhaen models, 24 powerboats and six larger units classed as motor yachts. Build years start in 1997 with the 36 Open and run to 2027; four models are still in production: the 29 Pro Fish, 34 Traditional Fishing, 36 Open and 310 CC. Lengths range from 5.9 to 19.6 metres, with half between 7.9 and 12.0 metres. The Fishing Boat line runs from the 20 (5.9 m) to the 34 (10.4 m), Pro Fish comes as 26, 29 and 31, and the Sea Dan models span 8.1 to 13.2 metres. The largest entry is the 19.6 metre Commercial workboat.
In the Gulf these boats go out early, fish over reefs and sandbanks and return to crowded harbours. Sun and salt are hard on gelcoat, upholstery and wiring, so condition shows quickly. Value rests on the hull, the outboards and their hours, and the electronics and fishing gear fitted. A well kept 29 Pro Fish with modern engines is valued very differently from a plain Fishing Boat of the same length.

For Al Dhaen Craft: Both spellings refer to the same yard in Bahrain.
