Allison Boats is a family company in Louisville, Tennessee. Paul Allison built his first wooden boat in 1955 and later went on to fast glassfibre race boats; his son Darris Allison now runs the firm as president and head designer. Today the name stands for bass boats: low, quick fishing boats for lakes and rivers with raised casting decks, livewells and a big outboard set back on a jack plate.
