AluForce builds aluminium motorboats. According to the Swedish magazine Dagens PS, the brand belongs to a German company and the hulls are TIG welded in St Petersburg from the aluminium magnesium alloy AlMg4.5. Polyurethane foam blocks inside the hull act as buoyancy, can be moved for repairs and keep running noise down, and the boats are built for rough conditions. The welded hull and, on the Pilothouse models, the enclosed wheelhouse make them easy to spot. The number in the name is close to the length in centimetres, so a 710 Pilothouse is 7.1 metres and a 1090 Pilothouse 10.9 metres.
Our model records list nine AluForce designs: seven motorboats, one motor yacht and one RIB. Six belong to the Pilothouse line, the 710, 740, 820, 870, 900 and 1090, all recorded from 2017, with the 1090 classed as a motor yacht. The AluForce 570 dates from 2014, the RIB from 2018 and the 610 HT from 2019, and all nine run into the latest build years. Lengths range from the 5 metre RIB to the 10.9 metre 1090 Pilothouse: three models measure 5 to 6.09 metres, four Pilothouse boats sit between 7.1 and 8.73 metres and the 900 measures 8.96 metres.
Bare or painted aluminium shrugs off knocks that would mark gelcoat, which suits rocky shores, fishing and early or late season trips. What it asks for is attention to anodes and to stainless fittings touching the hull. The 570, 610 HT and RIB travel on a trailer; the larger Pilothouse boats are berth boats with a heated wheelhouse feel, comfortable for anglers and families well outside high summer.
