Alumagic; cover, cost and conditions
Three motor boat ranges are documented, the 400, the 510 and the 640, built between 2020 and 2024. Production therefore lies in the past, while the boats continue to be used. For hull cover we therefore agree an agreed value, so that in the event of a claim there is no need to negotiate over the current market value.
On a motor boat there is often an outboard on the transom. Full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard, plus collision, grounding and vandalism. Limited hull cover applies in the case of fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage.
The premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range, never on the brand. If you come from another insurer, NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, above that we assess each case individually.

Frequent questions
How do years of construction between 2020 and 2024 affect the contract?
The year of construction is one of the premium factors, but not an obstacle. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff with no age limit in full hull cover.
Is a stolen outboard covered?
Yes. Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover. Theft of the entire boat is already covered by limited hull cover.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
