In our records Atana brings together two quite different families: sailing yachts under the Atana name and small motorboats under the Cast name. The sailing models run from 8.6 to 9.7 metres, cruisers for weekends and holiday passages, while the 4.8 metre Cast boats are open runabouts for lakes, rivers and sheltered coasts. The two digit numbers of the sailing yachts follow the length in feet, and the Cast numbers around 480 match the length in centimetres. We hold no reliable source on the yard's location or history, so this page sticks to the model data.
Our model records list six designs: two sailing yachts, one sailing boat and three motorboats. The Atana 26 and Atana 27 measure 8.63 metres each and start in 2011; the 26 runs into the latest build years, the 27 to 2021. The 9.7 metre Atana 30, listed as a sailing boat, follows in 2014 and also runs into the latest years. The Cast 475, 480 and 482 are all 4.8 metres long; the 480 appears in 2011, the 475 and 482 in 2012, and all three are still listed. Five of the six models continue into recent years.
The Cast boats live on a trailer and suit spontaneous days on the water, with a quick rinse of the outboard afterwards. The Atana yachts are berth boats for a season afloat, hauled out in autumn, with rig, sails and the inboard checked over the winter.
