Axis Wake Research; cover, cost and conditions

Five model ranges of motorboats are recorded for Axis Wake Research, and all of them are still in production today: the Axis A24 and the T23 since 2018, the T220 and the T250 since 2019, the T 235 since 2020. Premium and cover are decided by type of boat, year of construction, value, engine power and cruising range, not by the name on the hull.

Full hull cover works with an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation. Included are collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage.

A boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover does not end at the jetty: it applies equally in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

How is a T250 rated compared with an A24?

Premium and cover are decided by type of boat, year of construction, value, engine power and cruising range. Which model is stated in the application is secondary; what matters are the technical figures and the cruising area.

Does the boat trailer have to be insured separately?

No. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Craning, launching and the transport route are included as well, as is the time in winter storage.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Waters

Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.

Equipment

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Cruising range
